From one to another

Hello all! I hope you are all out there achieving, succeeding, and having the life you want!

Almost done

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here…probably more than a year. I’m about a week away from finishing my first college degree, so my life has been really hectic/crazy/stressed. So much has happened in this past year, I can hardly believe it. Anyway, I hope all is going well for all of you lovely people; I hope you’re doing and achieving everything you want to!

You are a Spiritual Tree Hugging Self-Improver

Huh, that 43things quiz is pretty accurate. Anywho, wanted to drop by and wish everyone Happy Holidays!

xoxo

So...it's been forever...

Yeah, I’ve been busy. Who’d have thought that coming home from a year abroad could be so much work?

I came home from France a month ago. Wow. It’s gone by so fast. I really, really, really want to go back to stay. I don’t like California anymore…too hot.

Anyway, so what’s going on with my life…well, I had to convince a bunch of people that I was still an American citizen so I could work again. Fun. Apparently they confused my French residence card with French citizenship and kept telling me I needed a green card, blahblahblah. Morons. Well, I’m working again (yay) but sadly my money is going to pay off my debt from Europe (boo).

My love life (or lack thereof) sucks. I just can’t seem to meet anyone on my intelligence level who isn’t intimidated by me. Oh well.

Yeah, so my life is pretty boring. I spend a lot of time with my nephew. That was the best part of coming home for me, getting to meet him. He’s adorable. I can’t believe he’s 5 months old.

What’s going on with everyone else? I feel so out of the loop.

An Update

It’s been a while since I’ve been really active on this site. Sure, I log in and give some cheers, but I haven’t been really good at updating. So, here goes nothing.

I’m still in France, I have another “trimestre” to go and then I’m freeeeeeeeee and will hopefully have a certificate from the French Govt that says, “hey world, she’s frickin bilingual!” Well, maybe not that exact wording…

For the most part, French is not as easy to learn as one might think. They have exceptions to EVERY rule, and every word can be used ten different ways and then the verbs, the VERBS! They can all be conjugated 10 different ways but then after you learn the conjugating you actually have to learn when to use each time of verb. It’s time consuming and brain-hurting.

Outside of the educational arena, I think my life is starting to be okay. I’ve gone entire weeks without entering my depressive state and my poetry is coming along. I’ve actually started thinking about what I want to do with my life after I graduate from college next June, which is a big step up for me considering my college advisor picked my major for me based on my high school grades.

So yeah, life is good for me. How about for the rest of you?

:D

I’m now the proud auntie of a 8 lb little boy named Jacob Andrew Connelly. :-)

it's been a while...

Yup, it’s been a while since I wrote anything here. I’ve been so busy. French no longer comes easily to me; I actually have to study now! Life here in France is…cold…it snowed last night. Being a SoCal native, I’d only seen snow fall once before in my life. So last night my friend Fern & I went dancing in the snow. It was an amazing, magical moment and I felt like I was five years old again.

So, life is going okay. I’m missing home pretty badly right now because the birth of my godson is imminent. Jacob Andrew will arrive any day now, and I’m going to miss it. I was really depressed the other day because of that and I almost said, “Screw it all” and bought a plane ticket home. One of my best friends is having her first child and I’m here, in France. I feel kind of like a louse for that.

Well, I shall try to update & comment “plus souvent” as we’d say here. I hope all your lives are going great for you!

xoxo

Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!

Since I leave at the wonderful hour of 4 AM tomorrow for Spain & Italy for 19 days, I’m wishing all of you very happy holidays. May they bring you peace and love and LOTS of good food!

Joyeux Noel!

xoxo see you in 2008!

Homesick

So I’ve been gone a little over two months, and I woke up yesterday with a severe case of homesickness.

My Christmas vacation is in five weeks, and I suddenly have the desire to go home for Christmas.

I’d love some advice. Should I spend the insane amount of money to go home and spend Christmas with my family and friends or should I spend the insane amount of money to stay here and spend Christmas in Italy?

It doesn't get any better, does it?

Alright, I’ve finally gotten off my lazy butt and decided to upload some pictures for you all. See? I’m wonderful, I made a video!
And well, just GRRR because I can’t upload it on here. So instead, here is the link:
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=19229446

It’s on my myspace…hopefully you’ll be able to watch it!

France is still beautiful. In about ten days I’ll be in Paris living the REALLY good life. Anyone ever been there before? (I can always use travel tips).

Hope all is well for all of you!

xoxo
