I called in...

...to work, just for the morning today. I was in California till late and I simply couldn’t handle the transition out of sunshine and beach without eight hours of sleep. I’m trying to eat a healthy breakfast, but I don’t seem to have the appetite this morning. I’m about to take a bath and then do some yoga before I walk to school.
I need to do some soul care this week. I must write in my journal and write some letters. I need to take some walks. I think I probably need a good cry, too.



The last two nights...

...of nine and half hours of sleep are returning me to “mostly human” status. I’m a more than a week into my cleanse and I’m hoping against hope that I can get a massage on Friday.

Let’s see if I can make good on going a yoga class, too.



Guess what is really good...

...for this star? Sleeping nine hours or more, that’s what! Despite the fact that I should have been writing my paper, I went to bed at ten and some change. I woke this morning feeling much better than I have.

I started another cleanse last night as well, I’m unsure if it’s working yet. My guts feel yucky, which didn’t happen last time- but it could be that I ate lots of un-food for lunch.



Beers and bourborn...

...are a fun way to end the weekend, but not the right way. I have not been intentional about this yet, but that has to change. I still have a cough! It’s been weeks now and really, I should be well by now.

I am starting a cleanse tomorrow. I would do it today but I’m worried that my tummy will reject everything from last night and I’ll be ill at work. It’s hard to work with kids and take care of yourself sometimes! So, tomorrow morning will be a good starting point. I’m going to make good soup tonight to get me thorough the better part of this week and I will eat the rest of the fruit in the house. Hurray!
