I continue to slowly lose weight from counting calories and walking. This is great, and I’m so proud of my diligence, but it’s only one component of fitness. I really want to get stronger, so weight lifting is important. I want to commit to a routine. I have a set of 4 videos (arms, abs, legs, buns) that actually cover the whole body. The arms video does back and chest too. I’ll try this:
M arms
T abs
W legs
R arms
F abs
S buns
N rest

What bugs me about getting fit is the patience required. It’s a constant effort, and the results come so slowly. Slow and steady …

I started a month ago on my health regime. So far I’ve lost about 5 pounds. Feels great. Here is my approach.
BMR x 1.2 – 500 to 1000 = calories to eat per day (at least 1200) For me, 1200 calories a day is a healthy goal.
Walk and stretch daily: So far I’ve done it a few times a week. I’m building up to daily.
Increase exercise over time: Walk more and add dumbbell lifting and calisthenics.
