“City of God” sounds depressing, but people say it’s good.
“Amelie” sounds fun, but not the sort of film that I usually attend.
“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” sounds good, but Jim Carrey can get on my nerves.
“Downfall” is a film I wanted to see, but never got around to attending.
“Spirited Away” sounds wonderful: I was not seeing very many films in the theater that year.
“Das Boot” must not have played at a convenient theater when it came out, because I certainly would have wanted to see it.
“Requiem for a Dream” sounded too depressing when it came out.
“Hotel Rwanda” was a film I wanted to see, but didn’t get around to.
“Life is Beautiful” is a film I avoided fanatically, because Roberto Benigni impresses me as an obnoxious clown with no talent. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences doesn’t agree with me.
“The Seventh Seal” is a picture I have always wanted to see, but haven’t yet.
“Cinema Paradiso” has an excellent reputation, and I imagine I would like it.
