The border violence has escalated in the past months and the Porochi work trip was canceled for the summer of 09…..Juarez is a war zone right though, so playing it safe is probably a good idea…..

The Porochi trip will last from the 8th of June to the 18th of June. I’m excited!

This summer in early July or late June The Rotary sponsored “Interact” club will be traveling to Porochi, Mexico to help with construction of a school and the surrounding facilities. This experience was life changing for many people in the past and I am really looking forward to the journey. It seems like this will give me a small taste of what, exactly, the peace corps is all about. (Maybe?) (I hope….)
