So much more comfortable than cattle class. I loved the extra room. It was nice to get proper food service too, although they tried to make the first class food very posh – the standard meals sounded nicer most of the time – perhaps they should have aimed for good plain food, rather than bad posh food.
It was obvious that this wasn’t ‘real’ first class (it was a charter flight). I couldn’t see the screen for the movies unless the person in front put their seat back, for example, and my seat was partly broken so that it was difficult to push back and had a broken foot rest; the toilets were half-way through the standard class seats (although that did mean that you got to appreciate the diffence in seating!).
I think the best bit was the priority check-in and priority baggage collection. Jumping straight to the front of a couple of hundred person queue is very nice.
