I really do… It’s infinitely preferable to having nowhere to live, but it sucks. I have friends who live at home and say “oh, we don’t believe in renting… I’ll just buy a house.” Sure, great for you…who didn’t have to pay rent while they were going to uni, so you can afford a house deposit!
I really want to buy a house because I would love to be able to DO stuff to it. For example, one of the walls has moved in the bathroom, which has cracked all the tiles on that wall. Probably because the tiles haven’t been laid on the wall – just hung! My landlord can’t be bothered doing anything properly, so her husband does it. Plumbing, electrician stuff, maintenance, you name it. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
