Moving from Atlanta to Chicago was very expensive, and I had to borrow some money from my parents. With M not working yet, it’s taking much longer to pay them back than I was expecting.

sent off today. It’s not much, but the debt is coming down slowly but surely. Even though I still carry my credit card with me, I haven’t used it in 2 months. :)
Had to put our airline tickets for San Antonio on the card. $835. Todd reimbursed me already though, so as soon as his check clears I’ll be sending them $300.
M’s truck broke down over the weekend, and I paid the towing and repairs.
$433 that will not be going toward my credit card. :(
He offered to pay me back, but he’s in worse shape than I am.
I noticed a weird charge-and-credit on my credit card statement, and when I called the merchant, they told me that they noticed the address on the account and the address on the card didn’t match. That’s why they credited the amount back right away – they said it was a fraudulent charge.
They were not, however, going to inform me or my credit card company about it – they said it’s not their responsibility.
I called my card company to report it, and they froze my account while they set me up with a new number. I think I may just activate my new card when I get it, and give it to Mike for safekeeping. No new charges this way. :)
My couch is officially paid off! And since I got it paid before June 4, I didn’t have to pay any interest at all. :)
Saved myself over $135 in interest charges by paying in full prior to the cutoff date!
This will be a toughie for me. Though I don’t have a lot of debt (only $3000), I have an “I want it NOW” complex. It’s hard for me to say no to myself when I really want something, but I’m going to make a concerted effort!
