be a tourist in my own town

So even though I’m new to Chicago, I got to play Tour Guide. We went to Lou Malnati’s, Superdawg (AND met Maury!!!), went to the top of both the Sears Tower and John Hancock buildings, went to a play, and took an Historic Architecture tour of the Loop. We all had a great time, and now I can’t wait to learn even more about the city.

Esp. since I might be moving in less than 3 weeks!

I need to get to the High Museum of Art, the big cemetery here, and try to get to a Falcons game.

Anyone else in Atlanta have must-sees for me?

Walked (and walked and walked and walked…) around downtown Roswell on Monday – the hottest day of the year, of course. :) Very cute shops, cafes and galleries there.

Last weekend, went to Marietta Square with Todd. Walked around in the rain and saw all the cute shops over there. :)

My BFF was visiting from Chicago this weekend, and I took her to all kinds of touristy places. We went to the Georgia Aquarium, the Varsity, several local restaurants, and even drove by Alton Brown’s house to take pictures.

So I get to play tourist with her! We’re going to the aquarium (which I’ve been to already, but excited anyway), and I’ll be checking out the CVB site for more ideas. :)

Especially if I get the new job and move back to Milwaukee. I’d be disappointed in myself if I went back without seeing everything I’d want to see if I were here on vacation.
