I haven’t used it but it may help you out.

""""Learn Punjabi online by practicing with a native speaker who is learning your language."""

Meaning: if your native language is English and you want to learn Punjabi, you will practice with a native Punjabi speaker that is trying to learning English. That way you help each other out!

I found a few websites!

In response to all the people that have asked me to help them I ran a few Google searches and found some good websites that may prove to be helpful.

This website seems to be most helpful but it delves into written Punjabi as well. I haven’t really browsed through the website myself but once I do I will give pointers and more links!

This website has some basic words and basic phrases but the only problem with this website is that those that are not familiar with spoken Punjabi may have a bit of an accent when they try to pronounce these words.

This website has the ‘R’ and ‘Kh’ sound the way it is pronounced in Punjabi. I hope this helps some people. I will search for my more ways to help.

Another thing I need to know from those who want help:

For what purpose do you want to learn Punjabi?? and to what extent, by this I mean do you want to learn how to read and write or just speak basic Punjabi?

I’ll try my best to help others but it may be difficult for me because Punjabi is my native language. I speak Punjabi very very well because even though I was born in New York City I grew up in Punjab (I lived in Punjab from age 2-age 4 1/2) and when I came back to the United States I became fluent in English as well. I speak both languages really well and can help with translations. I also think learning a bit of Punjab’s history and the history of the language may help explain some aspects of the Punjabi Language.

PS. The picture I posted with this entry was taken (by me) last year outside my house in Punjab. :)

hii

I am Punjabi and have been raised speaking punjabi. I pride myself on the fact that I am fluent in both Punjabi and English :). I don’t know whow I’d be able to help someone learn the language, but I’ll try my best! If you have a question feel free to ask me.
