HPJ has his first gundog lesson today. The trainer has agreed to come to us, so that I can at least watch even if I can’t participate. Just hope the weather cheers up a bit before then.

YAY, yesterday I had a short trip out for lunch, with the help of a friend with a car and a back up wheelchair. Was good to have a change of scene and some space to really try hopping on crutches. Will take it easy to day to compensate.

Blood count is up – but not far enough yet, so still on the iron tablets.
Had a rough night, but feeling a bit better this morning, just wish I could find a comfy position.

Feeling very tired and uncomfortable today. Feel like I could benefit from a good cry, but that is NOT the way to go, I guess I am just feeling the whole fed-up-ness of this, and another 4 weeks before I can even put my foot to the floor, grrrrr!!!!
Ok…so away with you ‘feeling sorry for myself’ thoughts, put my best foot forward (no prizes for knowing which one this is) and other such positive-y things and lets get on with recovery.

DH is out at an important meeting today, so got various friends popping in to make sure I am OK and to walk the HP brothers.
- Work stuff – start getting back into it, call M and call S
- Health stuff – District nurse coming today to take bloods and remove stitches (ouch!). Must ask her about rehab, and who is best to discuss this with.
- Put gym membership on hold for a while :(

Weather is awful…at least I’m not feeling sorry for myself at not being able to go out.

Slept a lot better last night. Maybe things are getting better. Fortunately this meant that DH got a good night’s sleep too.
Still some things Bt/fwd on my list – but best to pace myself as I heal properly. Everything is such a big effort to achieve right now, and my right leg is impossible to get comfortable.
- Home accounts. I transferred some money over yesterday and paid the CC bills – but I still need to do the reconciliations, and update the spend. At least the CC people will not be charging interest and the bank account is not overdrawn even if I have no idea how things stand yet.
- Attempt to have a shower and wash my hair – not sure how I can do this yet, and whether upstairs shower or downstairs shower will be the easiest, but I will certainly feel a lot better if I can manage it. Worst case scenario is that I have becomed very skilled at sliding about on my bum, so I can sit on the shower floor, as long as DH can get me upright afterwards :)
- rest and recoup after all the above exertion.

I seem to be slipping into a routine…
- Take painkillers, wait for them to work while have cup of tea in bed, then hop to bathroom to get washed, dressed and presentable.
- Hop across landing to my office (which has added obstacle of two steps down) taking care not to slip downstairs en route
- Have breakfast at my desk (courtesy of DH)
- Spend the morning surfing and Getting Things Done, with as few bathroom trips as I can manage due to the aforementioned two steps.
- Have lunch at my desk (courtesy of DH)
- Hop back to bedroom and have some resty time on the bed snoozing and reading until workforce go home at 5pm
- get downstairs (assisted by DH and the HP brothers) by using the sliding down on bum method.
- Hop to sitting room and sit, watch TV, have dinner (thanks to DH again), and again minimising bathroom breaks due to tricky step between sitting room and hall
- About 10ish start the process of getting back upstairs to bed (which takes some time)
So I only have he GTD window in the mornings of a few hours to progess stuff.

- Change hosp appt, of all the days for my follow up it happens to be the one day DH has a meeting. Grrrr.
