“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed, and is, thereby, a true manifestation of what one feels about life in its entirety.”—Ansel Adams (1902-1984)

Another weekend of outdoor camping has almost arrived, to be accompanied by many new (both expected and unexpected) photo opportunities.
If indeed “a picture’s worth a 1,000 words”, then a meaningful photo ought to be worth at least a few words, too.
It’s amazing that there are still so many features/settings on my digital camera that I’ve either overlooked or simply haven’t taken the time to learn. One day soon, I’m going to dig up my digicam’s user manual and read it cover to cover.
I finally dusted off my digital camera a few days ago. Although I stayed in town this weekend, I still managed to take about 50 worthwhile snapshots.
I took tonnes of photographs with my digital camera when I first got it, but since then I’ve met with something of a photography dry spell. Even in the absence of travel, I should still find occasions to take the occasional photo.
