Six months and I feel I can tick this off 2 years ago

I found Allen Carr’s ‘Easy Way’ helped me more than anything else I had read. That and a shed load of will-power.

How many days is that? Is anyone counting? See, I don’t even care. I have quit (again) but this has happened many times before. I am going to leave this here for three months and then, if I am brave enough, say that I have actually quit.

Exhausted. I couldn’t sleep today after a night shift and think it may be all part of the nicotine withdrawals. I was so tempted to ask a friend for a ciggie just to give me a little nicotine kick but I opted for a kit-kat and a cup of tea instead. Mmmmmm

Well over the 72 hour mark now! Tough day though, back to work and offered so many cigarettes. Even when the stress began and I had to send a staff member off site I still stuck to a cold glass of water and didn’t succumb to the temptation. This guy was an ass, I almost had to throw him out the door, that is three in three months. Any computer systems engineers out there that need a job?

Forty eight hours and going strong. Hocking a few loogies but feeling better already. I have been snacking a little more these past few days but weight gain is the least of my worries at the moment. I’m not too out of shape and considering I also ran three miles today (which almost killed me) I’m sure the additional snacks won’t be too detrimental to my overall health. Better than smoking!

Just over twenty four hours now and I still have some nails left.
The first part is always the hardest. I can’t even remember how many times I have quit now. The real test is the first beer! Maybe #3 on my list will take care of that. No pain, no gain!
