I have had trouble smiling today as some creep kept posting bullshit that had me a little annoyed to say the least. I seem to have to deal with these little ass wipes on a regular basis lately.

but…

1. A great night’s sleep.

2. Breakfast with Annie.

3. Tearing through the countryside on the bike.

Ohhh…and…being back on nights…joy!

Friday 3 years ago

2. Lunch with Aphie
3. Cool stuff and people at Spitalfield Matket – what a great day out!

GREAT NEWS!!!! 3 years ago

1. I have just had an offer accepted on an apartment two minutes from the beach at Sandgate. YAHOOO!!!
It is too far to travel to work so the plan is to live there alternate weeks and stay at a friends house in London for several years (hehehe…I wonder if he realises it is so long). In 2009 there is a high speed rail link opening to the south coast and when this happens I plan to commute, until then I will have a great little place where I can forget about work and the city.
I have plenty of renovations to keep me busy and there is a small harbour where you can charter fishing boats. What more could a guy want?
I have been living a very unassuming lifestyle over the past two years, working hard and saving. I have been driving a beaten up old car. Living in a small apartment and wearing clothes that I have often wanted to just burn and go out and blow my money on a new wardrobe, especially my work suits and shirts. Now I can relax and start to enjoy the fruits of my labour. Satisfying!
There have been snobbish bores that have looked down their nose at me but they can go and screw themselves. I am right on track, appreciating what I have and loving where this is all going.

2. Serenity’s entry that I read when I woke.

3. Things being better than yesterday.

Sunday 3 years ago

1. Picked up a new phone today. It is a Samsung D900 and I love it!

2. The sun shining and being able to ride in to work.

3. Meeting Aphie was by far the best part of my day. Aphie is wonderfully intelligent and great to talk to. I felt very comfortable meeting Aphie and we didn’t stop talking for over three hours. The topics of conversation were so diverse and interesting, anything from lessons on Australian geography to 19th century prostitutes, pirates and cannibalism. I didn’t think a hot twenty something year old woman from Australia would want to talk to an old git like me but we had a great time. We walked for miles and had coffee in Brick Lane before I showed Aphie the offices where I work and the fantastic views of the Thames and Tower Bridge. I hope Aphie enjoyed our evening as much as I did and I don’t think I was too much of a nutter. Do mad people know they are mad? Hmmmm. I did manage to dribble hot chocolate down the front of my shirt. It wasn’t a dribbling, dirty old man thing. Honest! I just missed my mouth…don’t say anything!

Saturday 3 years ago

1. Waking late and sitting around all morning drinking tea and eating cookies while I read some hilarious entries by IamElectorGirl and Serenity. I was beaming…what a hoot!

2. My parents visiting. I rarely see them alone and we had a great day catching up and walking through the town. They even bought me lunch…bonus!

3. The burger I had for lunch. Mmmmmm Thai Chili Burger.

Actually a lot of the twenty four hours revolved around me eating but I won’t bore everyone with a blow by blow account of my food intake although it was luvurly!

1. The great buskers in the underground somewhere in the depths between Borough and London Bridge that had a full drum kit and great wind section. The acoustics down there are amazing and they were playing the funkiest jazz tune I have ever heard. It was great to see a young kid, holding her fathers hand, dancing through the crowds of dowdy looking business suits in her little red rain coat. That image will stick with me.

2. Finding a new chinese restaurant near the office where I sat at around 2am eating chow mein. It was still bustling in the tiny neon lit corridor between two bars, and the pouring rain was thundering off the old blue tarpaulins that covered the outside tables. Very cool! It reminded me of Blade Runner.

3. Finishing work early.

Thursday 3 years ago

1. The new issue of ‘Ride’ magazine. Ohhhh baby! Biker porn! It made the train journey to work fly by. In fact I laughed out loud with excitement reading about the new Ducati range. The new Monster SR4S with 130bhp and a 150mph top speed is the mutts nuts.

2. Making my elderly neighbour happy by returning their bins from the roadside. They waved and smiled from their kitchen window as if I had told them they were lottery winners.

3. My friend Charlotte inviting me to help her move some furniture because she had hired a carpet cleaner and then watching like a perv from the couch with my cuppa as she cleaned the carpet in her panties and a t-shirt. I know…I’m bad!

Wednesday 3 years ago

1. Returning to work after a break and seeing the guys again.

2. Riding my motorbike through London and realising that I can tell which area of London I am in from the smell of different types of weed escaping from the car windows. There seems to be some good skunk around New Cross at the moment.

3. Giving Rosie a hug. My feet leave the floor and I walk on air every time I hug this beautiful person (not because she physically lifts me off the floor with a bear hug btw).

4. Watching the amazing Fatboy Slim ‘Praise You’ video for the first time in years. If you have never seen it then you really must. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1076539967352492854
