I started developing varicose veins at age 20. The assistant manager is younger than I am, and her doctor told her to start wearing support hose. Also people are horrible. I thought I’d lost all faith in humanity before I started working with dozens of people all day long, every day, but it turns out I must’ve still had a wee bit of faith left, because I felt it go. People, I hate you. There’s nothing nastier than a thirtysomething blonde on a shopping spree.
