This past October I was lucky enough to (almost) finish my thru-hike on the Appalachian trail. Mt. Katahdin is the big finish, but unfortunately for us, after 6 months of hiking, Katahdin closed for 6 days because of premature poor weather. We were only able to stay in the nearest town for a couple days before having to return home completely and utterly broke- and without hiking the last 5 miles of our trail. So, the plan is for next year!
