Today, I have written a letter to five representatives and one senator from my state urging the EPA, the FDA, the Department of Transportation and several other federal agencies to discontinue their use of rabbits and rats in tests which can be made more effective and less cruel by adopting other options to test the same results.

I plan to write a letter to Tex Edwards and a lot of other people who work at the Anchorage, AK Zoo, in an effort to urge them to retire Maggie the Elephant to a sanctuary.
I also plan to write a later to Richard M. Daley (the mayor of Chicago) to tell him to vote for the Elephant Protection Ordinance.
