They’re dead. All my sprouts, officially, dead.

I’m really not sure why. They were doing great. Maybe I didn’t take off the top of the seedling tray soon enough, and they got moldy, and then when I did take the top off? They’re all dried out.

Try again. Maybe I’ll go get a new tray tonight. I gave mom all my seeds…I think I’m going to be less ambitious and go for a few basil, a few dill, and maybe some oregano. And that’s it.

These seeds has sprung! I’m going to let them get a bit bigger and healthier before I consider repotting them, but it’s nice to see that germination works in my warped, twisted little world.

Home Depot is selling all the supplies. For $18, I got several packages of seeds and a 25 “disc” starter box. It has peat pads that expand when you add water and are very easy to plant in. I may opt to get another one, since it was so easy and I didn’t get my lavender in the current box. Probably because I decided these would make nice gifts more my parents or a few friends this spring, so I planted extras of everything.

I need to go buy small terra cotta pots so that when they sprout, I have a place to move them. I may even decorate the pots…I do so love decoupage…
