This is frustrating. I’m 5”1, almost 30 years old, and fluctuate between 115 and 118 pounds. I run 40 MILES a week, wear sizes 1 and 2 in Old Navy, and am 18% body fat. So even though I realize I don’t actually LOOK 118 pounds, the numbers on the scale drive me nuts. For someone who runs as much as I do, you would think I’d be thinner than I am. I do eat a lot… but I eat healthy, low fat food. My voracious appetite stems from my running routine, and I can’t risk feeling weak. It’s not like 110 is underweight for someone my height… anything between 100 and 130 is considered healthy. But I guess I’ll have to cut the calories some and maybe cross train to help reach this goal?

You know, I always feel stupid for being obsessed with my weight when I’m not overweight. I guess it’s a character flaw. I’m a product of American society, and I’m ashamed. I would love to change this goal to “Stop being obsessed with my weight,” but I’m just not ready yet… I still feel huge. I always have this song in my head… “I’m a little teapot, short and stout.”
