learn french

Scratching Rosetta idea for financial reasons right now, found LiveMocha online. Works on the same principle and starts out for free! So as to not overload myself, I’m going to commit to working on it 30 mins 3 times a week in french. When I get bored, I’ll work on another language or step up the studying. Even got DH on board! Whahoo!!

Try Rosetta Stone. May have to wait ‘till August, but until then I have a grammar book to review. I plan to get the whole package: lessons 1 thru 3. That should make me fluent enough to converse and find pen pals, maybe order some books or a newspaper.

Native language is english. I’d like to become fluent in these languages in this order: French, Portuguese, Russian. Had French in high school, and tried Pimsleur. It helped some. Not confident enough to try speaking with another person though.
