Started this at 181.something and after a week and two days of the South Beach Diet + exercise, I’m down to 172.something.
I’ve been eating really healthy and working out every day except for 2.
I’m so sad though, because my elliptical in the gym was broken when I went to use it yesterday :( So now I need to improvise and do some Tae Bo or something. I dunno.

So I’ve eaten every meal and snack that was “assigned” to me today.
I’m torn between complaining about all this healthy food that I never eat and staying positive and faking it till I make it.
ugh :(
I’m tired and cranky but hopefully with time this’ll get better.

Abs hurt soooo bad, most likely from hula hooping in Wii Fit Plus.
Crazy!
Tomorrow marks Day 1 of diet but today was day 4 of being active.
Go me!

I’m a very impatient person, who is a big fan of instant gratification. Which is why I enjoy being a waitress and having money in my pocket at the end of every shift.
The thing I like about Wii Fit Plus is that I can see improvement right away. Whereas it will probably take me a week or two to see PHYSICAL changes, I can already FEEL changes. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment when I beat a previous high score of mine, especially on the yoga poses or strength training exercises.
Playing Wii Fit Plus gives me easy little goals to accomplish to keep me motivated, and I’m held accountable to it. I usually fail at this goal because I don’t bother to hold myself accountable and I give up very easily, I look for any excuse to give up. But watching the calories and time rack up on Wii Fit keeps me going. :D
My friend Kelly and I are going to try The South Beach Diet, so I’ll probably be writing about that a lot lol
Food is my weakness :(

Finally my best friend Kelly set up her Wii Mii and we played last night.
It’s fun and makes the time go by faster.
Obviously it’s not my only means of exercise but it’s great.

For Christmas I got a Wii Fit Plus and a new bike.
Will definitely be using both of these a LOT.
The cool thing about Wii Fit is that it can track my weight loss, so I don’t have to keep track of it myself.
Back to my old system of writing down green check marks or red x’s for the days that I do or don’t work out, respectively. It helps me stay motivated knowing I’ll have more green checks at the end of a month than red x’s.
Also I have to work on not eating out, in order to save my bank account as well as my health.

Anybody play it?
I want to know if I should ask for it for Xmas.

“honestly, just cut out any fast food, and junk food. eat normal meals and for snacks dont eat anything like cookies or chips. you dont have to necessarily eat salad all the time…just cut out the shitty stuff. ie: chips, cookies, fast food, candy, and chocolate (although i had a rule that once a week i could eat a chocolate bar lol cause i love them)
one good thing that helped me lose like 15 lbs in about 10 days was nothing but fruits and veggies and water for a week. it cleans out all of the shit from before, then starts your body off cleansed and not full of crap. so then after a week or so…start adding in chicken, pastas, bread.
also… chew your mouthful at least 20 times before you swallow it. a lot of the reasons why people gain so much weight is cause they chew until its good to swallow and then down the whole meal. what you need to do is space out how much you eat. so if you have a good plate full of food… chew each bit 20 times each and you should be good. your stomach takes 20 mins until it tells your brain its full. so you could eat 3 pounds of food and not feel it until 20 mins later, thats what the chewing 20 times is for. its hard to do @ first but it becomes a habit. doing that prolly helped me the most just because it slows down how fast food gets to your stomach. also: drink a glass of water before you eat. it will fill up your stomach just a little bit so you dont over eat. you will feel full faster.
it sounds like a lot but once you start doing it, it just becomes a part of your daily life. theres no STRICT dieting, theres no working out unless you would like to.
i also pushed about 300 crunches a day. it gave me a lot of energy, actually. doing a small routine every morning or night makes you feel SO good.”

So I feel sick-AGAIN. And unfortunately my need for money is greater than my need to lose weight. So I’m resting so I can work Thurs-Sun.
When I feel better I will definitely start walking again because it’s fun and makes me feel good, but until then all I can do is eat my grocery store food(no eating out), aaaand eat little of it.
Cheers.

So I did 10 laps on the roof of the parking garage right next to my apartment complex, which is how I slowly start getting back into being active.
I bring my IPOD, listen to some fast-paced songs, and lap the garage! Walking on the roof is amazing and > walking on the ground because
1)Nobody can see me, as I’m higher than everyone
2)the garage is never full enough to warrant cars parking on the top floor/roof so I have it all to myself
3)during the day, I can get some sun while walking. No going through shady spots or anything.
4)I can feel comfortable running if I suddenly got the urge to
I think for Christmas my friend in France is sending me a $200 gift card to Walmart so I can FINALLY get a new bike. I cannot WAIT.
