Nuring school starts August 20th!

Got a B in A&P II class. That’s the last of the nursing prerequisites, so now it’s just a matter of waiting until a slot opens up. Hopefully I’ll start actual nursing classes in the spring.

Okay, so I got back my A&P test from Monday and I got a 90%, which I seriously needed. Yay! That means that right now I’m sitting at an 81.5, which is just barely a B. I think I did really, really well on my lab practical today, though. If I aced it, that’ll bring me up to about an 84, which is a much more solid B. In order to keep my B, I just need a 71% on the final tomorrow. It’s mathmatically impossible for me to get an A in the class at this point, so I’ll just have to settle for a B. Which is fine with me. This is all assuming I understand my professors f’cocked way of grading, of course.

The final is on three chapters, though, a couple of which are pretty mathmatically and chemically complex. Time to hit the books. Only 20 hours until the final!

I got a 95.6% in the class—yay!! A&P is still going strong and hard; we had a lecture test yesterday, have a practical today and another one next Tuesday and then the final is a week from Friday. I didn’t do too great on the first test or practical, hopefully I’ll pull my grade up.

My nursing application is in and, gods willing, I should start in the spring. I’ll finish up my microbiology class this Thursday and I’ve no doubt I’ll get an A in it. My A&P II class is tough, especially in the summer, so I don’t know that I’ll do quite as well, but as long as I pass it with a C I’ll be happy. It’ll finish up the first Thursday of August and then I’m just in a holding pattern through the fall.

Somehow I managed to pull of an A in my anatomy and physiology class. I’m totally thrilled; it was tough! I’ve got A&P II and microbiology this summer, which will be challenging, and I apply for nursing school in June. Eeep!

Straight As this semester—biology, chemistry, and emergency medical technology! Next semester, anatomy and physiology 1 and Spanish for health care workers. Summer will be A&P II and microbiology. Slow but steady…
