Beginning on March 6, 2012 I have in search of a new Personal Care Assistant as the one that I used to have resigned.
I have been searching for a new one for a little over a month and if I do not secure and locate a new worker on or before May 1, 2012 my adopted family have threatened yet again to kick me out the house.
I am so numb to this Internal circus about always have to be concerned about if it will be a good day or a bad day with my adopted family? Will I wake up to peace and harmony or will it be argument, control, and chaos today?
Will I have to feel bad for having a physical disability and needing help as a man feeling their resentment feeling like a liability for something I am born with or will they not mind and it be okay?
At this point in my life I do not care who knows what about me or my story famous or not famous; political or apathetic. The dreams that I had for myself did not pan out exactly the way I imagined they would. I am also acutely aware that my “leadership skill” may never be perhaps what it could have been.
Nevertheless, as a result of my faith in myself and God, my friends who do there gosh darn best to help, and distant indirect encouragement and support from celebrities, musicians, and politicians.
I know in my heart that one day my dreams will come true. As of right now I just need some help:
Here is the criteria:
I am an adult male, age 26 with cerebral palsy and limited mobility. I am in need of a personal care assistant to help me at my home with grooming, bathing, basic food preparation, laundry, and minimal assistance with going to the restroom. I live at home with my adopted family and am not in need of a “live-in” caretaker, looking for a physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or pre-med student to provide assistance with aspects of basic self care including set up and some physical assistance with morning routine as well as community activities as well. You must have a car or your own means of transportation for getting here, as I live, a mile from the nearest bus stop. The pay is $11.55/hour for 6 hours a day (preferably in the evening, though the shift could be split up between the morning and night), 7 days a week. Personal references and a background check are required. Outgoing engaging personality preferred (like mine!). This is a great opportunity for aspiring medical professional; hours somewhat flexible. Punctuality and consistent reliability in performance an absolute must.
Prefer working with women they have a stronger inclination to be more efficient, intelligent, and well-organized.
If you think you can help or know someday who would want the job sent me an E-mail Global.Community.District@gmail.com or message me on 43Things.
