My husband and I just bought our first home. It is more beautiful, and with more land, that I ever thought I would have in a home- but it is also a financial nightmare. The mortgage payments are dumbfoundingly low (which is why we went for it in the first place) but ALL these repairs are making up for it! Our only bathroom has been un-usable for 1 out of the 3 months we have lived here thanks to a broken pipe and mud washing up into our drains.
We are also expecting, and our insurance company just informed us that it changed it’s mind about paying for maternity care. What can we do? Charge it, charge it, charge it. Someday, we will be out of debt…. hopefully. Maybe by the time the kids are out of college….
