I'm sleepy  — 4 months ago

Worked 5am to 1pm… got home and jogged for about 20 minutes… I was going to go longer, but it’s so nice out I really want to just jump on my bike and find some hills.

Weather has been great but work has been stressful and I’ve been going on little sleep. I really dont think I’ve gotten more than about 3 hours a night in the past week. Things should slow down a bit more for me though after this weekend.

Rock Band NIght  — 4 months ago

So just about every Thursday a group of my friends gets together for food, drinks, and rock band. I have to admit, this night is usually a splurge for me. Oh, and it was taco night, how can one resist John’s culinary skills in the kitchen. I knew I would give in so I tried to make up for the excess calories with frisbee golf, again, and a bike ride. Have I mentioned that I’ve fallen in love with Michigan again (the weather is perfect right now)? Anyhow, I held my own at Rock band and feel pretty good about everything so far.

Food Journal  — 4 months ago

I am going to start a food journal today. I need to start planning my meals for the day in advance. I’m an impulsive eater so I hope this will give me some direction throughout the day.

Yesterday was wonderful, the sun and warm breeze has got my mood up so much. I played frisbee golf twice yesterday, though one of the coarses was flooded, my friend and I still treked through the mud though.

Well, I suppose this is me recommitting after my big birthday weekend splurge. Current weight- 158.4 lbs.

by the Cold Wars Kids got me motivated and up this morning. Its funny how alive music can make me feel, or just really give me a huge boost of energy. Who needs Stackers when they have the Fratellis, Teddybears, Blink 182, and Goldfinger at their finger tips. My weight is the same but my mood is high, like I can do it all. Thanks for all the support!

Slipping  — 7 months ago

Not slowly into the abyss, not kicking or screaming, but swiftly in an incoherent 48 hours of madness. My cravings and temperament compare only to those of my pregnant sister. Where will it end? Even now all I want is chocolate, no pizza, oh wait- maybe some ice-cream. AHHHH!!!!! Where will it end? How do I make a bad day better?

Movie theatre popcorn....  — 8 months ago

Yeah, this is a down fall. I saw two movies this week, Sweeny Todd and August Rush. Both times I gave into the cravings. I know its an aweful thing to give into, I think I’ve heard it contains the upwards of 800 calories per serving. But I did give in and will just have to learn to cut other things out. Anyhow… Current weight 156.7 lbs.

Wanting warmer weather  — 8 months ago

Did I mention I like to cook? I find it very therapudic (spell check!!!) Its a good way for me to adjust recipes too, make them a bit more healthy. Anybody have a good recipe for lowfat cake? I’ve heard you can add diet pop or applesauce to substitute oils, but have yet to try either.

So in the past few months the walking machine managed to find itself in the basement. I plan to maybe organize a space to work out down there in the next week. I hate spiders though and its an unfinished basement (guaunteeing me lots of little critters to keep me company). Wish me luck. I miss my bike!
