Peace — 11 months ago
As with most things in life that you have wanted for a long time, when you get them they usually let you down. You have built them up so much in your mind that there is no way the actual reality of the situation can compare to the dream in your mind. I am, however, convinced that this will not be true with Alaska. The beauty and wonderment (new word I invented – or it’s new to me) of it can only be breath taking. And lets face it we can all use more breath taking moments in our lives. To be alone in a cabin in the middle of the woods for 3 months would be a little piece of heaven to me. No phones, no cars, nothing. Well, there would be a few things I would have to have…. Internet, computer to go with the net, food, electricity, running water, tv and dvd player, along with every movie I’ve wanted to see and book I’ve wanted to read. If I close my eyes I can see the Northern lights now.
