write letters

I packaged up a Christmas present to send to some relatives in Cambridgeshire tonight. We were going to go and see them over Christmas but didn’t get the chance. The present is a calander and so I think they should have it ASAP even though we may see them in a few weeks. I hope they like it and I plan to include a note that says a bit more than just “HI”. I feel pleased with myself for getting off my sorry behind and will post it at work tomorrow.

Living abroad at the moment I find myself picking up cards and postcards and little gifts with the intention of sending them to my friends and family back home. And then I never get around to it. I have been a terrible correspondent and it is just purely through laziness and distraction rather than lack of anything to say.

I want make time to send letters to my friends and family that they will enjoy receiving. I will start with one a week.
