Hahaha, the day AFTER I wrote this, so today, Dad tells me that Grandma has back-to-school money for myself and my siblings. My sister and I venture over to her house, and am expecting like $30.00 for school supplies.
After talking to Grandma for a bit, she pulls out a card and tells us to open it. We NEVER open it infront of her if we know there is cash in it. This is just how we were raised. She told us we’d be shocked, and my sister and I didn’t know what to expect.
I opened up the cheque and there it read ”$3,000.00” and at first I thought it said $30.00 and blinked at it and read it twice. Immediately I burst into tears because the hardest thing for me long term is to save up money to go to school. I was shocked. It was the best blessing. Basically, I’m back to square one..maybe a bit more. It’s like I never bought my laptop or my school books…or anything for this semester..maybe a little bit, but it’s great.
But, as for my goal..I’m going to continue saving up without my PARENTS help. That’s the major thing!
