Become fluent in more than one language

I’ve decided to refocus on this goal—I’ve started going through my French grammer book in an effort to learn to speak at a higher level than a three-year-old. And I’ve started getting French foreign films from Netflix so I can hopefully start picking up on the accent.

and I have—on book on French Grammer, a set of study cards on French Grammer, a French for Dummies book with CD, a Beginner’s French Study set with tapes and dictionary, a book of French idioms and another French/English dictionary.
The important part was I actually pulled out the grammer cards and started using them. I do need to find someone to speak French with—to correct my pronoucation and so I can start hearing the language, not just seeing it.

My Horoscope’s Overview: Pick up a new language. Learning a few phrases or taking in a foreign flick is a start. It’ll spark the desire for something more travel-wise—and a new connection will give you the perfect opportunity to practice.

Hmmm…I suppose I could focus a little more on this goal.

I dug out my old French books and tapes last night and followed along on several lessons. In order to work on my pronouciation, which is horrid, I’ll be repeating the early lessons several times. I really feel like I CAN learn this language.

With 6+ years of French classes, you’d think this would be something that I have at least a pretty good grasp on, but nope.
