I was doing this but got out of the habit about 3 years ago.

My goal is to drink a minimum of 2 liters a day but shoot for 3. The way I did this before was, once a day, I’d purposely sit dowm and try to chug down a liter in one sitting. I never got the fulkl liter in at that one sitting, but I got as much as I could take. After a few hours I began to crave water- not soda.
