This website will definitely come in handy especially when I start learning Russian. I find it useful when you’re learning a new language for the first time. But, in my case it can not help me improve my German as my German Level is way higher than mango’s German.

Yesterday I bought another “Teach Yourself” course, this time it’s the Russian language.
I am going to dive into it once I feel confident enough on my German playground.
PS
I mistakenly posted this entry under the wrong goal. Therefore I had to repost again under the languages goal. The reason I typed ‘3 months ago’ in the beginning of this post is that I wanted to indicate that I first posted this entry 3 months ago.
I kind of decided to temporarily suspend my Russian-Language learning process till I grow a more firmer and stronger grip on my German.
My grip on the German language is yet to be considered a loose one and it is not wise to spend some of its power on Russian yet.
I can feel a lot of improvement in my journey towards learning German. My mind’s neurons are beautifully being reprogrammed at will whenever it’s required to decode the German meanings. I have grown more familiar with the grammar and all. I am so pleased and satisfied with that.
With the help of my Assimil book, I have become more unstoppable and determined to go on this way till the final end.
I finished the Teach Yourself course probably around a week ago. Now, I am in the phase of organizing the german files inside my brain, refurbishing and completing the neglected corners of my knowledge of German.
I will add to my recent growing knowledge of German by further reading and non-stop learning.
I’ve recently embarked on a word-of-the-day project and it is truly helpful.
I one unit away from finishing the teach yourself book from cover to cover. But I am still not as close to ending my learning of the German language.
To prove that I still have a lot yet to learn. I bought yesterday German with ease one of Assimil series.
I have just embarked on “Word of the day” project. I added the feed to my personalized IGoogle page. Hopefully this would increase my german vocabulary database steadily and effectively.
The web links are:
1#http://www.transparent.com/wotd/archive2/GEWotd20070630.htm
2#http://www.hitsalive.com/wordoftheday/
You can more easily find and add them by typing {German “word of the day”} in google gadget search box.
I can now say that I am developing an ever-burgeoning feel for the german words and the language itself as a whole.
I have decided to change the title of this goal and make it “learn 5 foreign languages other than English” as the new title would express a greater part of the decision that I took while ago.
The five languages are;
- German.
- Russian.
- Japanese.
- Spanish or French.
- Finnish or Chinese.
Yes my German is getting better…after typing this entry I finish unit 15 and tomorrow I intend to study 16 and got through the past units…
I plan to finish the “Teach Yourself German” book by the end of this month. Only then will I feel relaxed to move on to the next step which is reading journals and mags in German.
I already bought a German mag called “Das Neue” and read some of it. I had no substantial problems while trying to understand what I was reading.
Soon, I’ll be comprehending this interview.
I’ll keep myself updated…don’t worry dear self.
My journey along the German language path is going ok. It suffers intermittent pauses…and that’s all.
I recommend this course —which I have already bought -especially if coupled with this dictionary.
