with a lovely summer haircut! ;) Cora absolutely hates haircuts, which means I hate them too, so we had been putting it off for way too long. But now she looks all stylish and summery, and I really should think about knitting a sweather in poodle wool! ;)

I’m going to a flee market tomorrow morning to do an article, and I have to take all the pictures myself. Eek! I’m very much a beginner when it comes to all the technical things in photography, and I’ve never taking pictures for printing before. And this is not an easy way to start. I’m supposed to interview people who are waiting in line before it opens (apparently, lots of people do that) about what they are looking for. The track them down later to see what they bought and take pictures. Plus, apparently, when they open the doors, the eager people run like crazy to get to the good stuff first. So I’m supposed to be inside, taking pictures of the running people. Which means I’ll be indoors, in dim ligths, but the people will be running through an open door with possibly bright sunlight shining in. Not easy, and I have to get it right the first time. I can’t very well demand that they get back to the door and run one more time.
Finding people who are willing to be interviewed and making sure to get all the names and fact right can be more than enough work in these situations. Having to take all the pictures as well is really quite scary. And the whole article depends on the pictures. If they’re not good enough, we have no article, and there will be trouble.
I have at least now found a function on my camera that allows me to change the ISO-settings, turn the flash on and off manually and save pictures in raw-format, while everything else is adjusted automatically. Or at least, I hope that is what will happen. Hopefully that will be enough. Me trying to use all the advanced settings in a stressful situation like that is just not going to work.
