My project for March  — 5 months ago

is to work on not throwing away food. I have a tendency to buy food that seems like a good idea to buy when I`m in the store. But then the next day, I come home from work really tired, take a look at the healthy vegetables in the fridge, and realize I don`t have the energy to prepare the healthy dinner I had planned. So I end up eating a sandwhich or some pasta instead, and throw the vegetables out when they go bad a few days later. Or, I buy something that I already have because I forget what I have in my fridge, and don`t manage to finish both before the sell-by date.
It`s not good for the environment, and it`s not good for my finances.

quite significantly simply by moving. I now live a lot closer to the city center, so I can walk to work, to the main shopping areas, to the dogsitters as well as to two of my closest friends who live around here. I used to use my car almost every day, quite often several times a day. Now I use it once or twice a week. I have to use my car for groceryshopping (the car is the only place Agatha can be left alone) and I use it for vets appointments and some other things, but much less than before.
This month I`m working on turning off the lights in rooms I`m not using. I know, it`s terrible that I don`t always do that already. Norwegians have been seriously spoiled with cheap energy, and we have developed some bad habits. I turn off the lighs in rooms when I`m leaving them most of the time, but definitely not always. That must change.
Also, I have ordered a “I don`t want addvertinsing brochures” (or whatever all the junk mail is called in English) sticker for my mailbox, now I just need to put it up.

I`ve decided  — 7 months ago

to join miss Campanula on this excellent goal this year!
I just heard on the news that polluting cars are now not allowed in the centre of Berlin by the way! Germans are just so much better at this than us!
