FINLAND!!
Wohoo!
One from Natalie in Greece
One from Missy in Australia
One from Parinaz in Iran
and I’ll be damned! Two from http://www.virtual.finland.fi/">Finland!!
This Finland thing is really starting to freak me out. Anyone have ANY idea whats going on there, and why everyone seems to get tons of cards from….Finland.
And none from Finland. Got one from Guilherme in Portugal. And another from Belgium. Thanks!
One good thing about starting Postcrossing is I now check my tiny mailbox every day. I actually dug stuff out of there this afternoon without using the jaws of life.
Tucked between my American Express bill and the market ads was this little gem. My first Postcrossing postcard sent by Manuela in Berlin showing the Film Museum at Potsdam. Woohoo!
Thanks!
Taija and Stiina both in Finland recieved their postcards today! Can’t wait to start getting mine in the mail.
Searched high and low and found some postcards, mailed them off the other day and now I sit…...waiting
Sent away for my first addresses last night. Today at lunch I thought I would pick up some postcards. I thought wrong.
I went to the book store and they had some boring generic postcards. Lots of sailors kissing woman and photos of works of art, but nothing I really liked and maybe 25 to choose from.
Not to be discouraged and thinking I could find 3 postcards in a hour I went to the Hallmark Store. TONS of greeting cards but just one little lonely rack of postcards, most of which were cheese.
Then it hit me! World Market! I love that place. I’d love it more if they had 1 post card.
Next destanation a huge truck stop. Lots of postcards most that featured “folks” in straw hats and overalls holding livestock. I’d rather not encourgage that hillbilly rep that we have here in Missouri.
Next stop a fairly nice hotel on the way back to work. I figured they might have a gift shop, they didn’t nor did they have any damn postcards!
My mission.(insert Mission Impossible theme music here) To find hip, funky, cool postcards. But to tell the truth I’d settle for something that said Lees Summit or Kansas City on it. Wish me luck.
