I finished my screenplay yesterday. I’ll still do some revisions and tweaking, but I typed “The End” and the story complete. It was completely worth it. Seriously, I walked around last night with a sloppy dumb smile.
I’m still only 20 or so pages from completing another screenplay, so it should be (at least) two done in a year. I quit working for 2008 to complete all unfinished projects, and I’m well on my way.
The sense of completion feels so damned good.

I’m at page 74 and stuck — not mentally but physically. I’m so busy teaching (and helping others with their scripts & shorts) that it is really tough to get any writing done.
Between Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving I’ll make the push to finish it up.

God, I can’t wait to have this project completed. Anytime I’m working on anything, I suddenly have all these “better” ideas I think I should do. Not this time!
I now have 64 pages completed. By completed I mean work-shopped, edited, polished, and final draft ready to go. I now need to finish the last 26 or so pages. They’re already outlined and just need to be put on paper.
My AFI friend thinks I should use this script, along with a television pilot I wrote, and shop for an agent. I agree.
I’m still planning for the next Pitch Fest.

Wrote from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am, and knocked out another 12 pages tonight. Everything is really flowing along. The only drawback is I’m all wired up and can’t sleep.

I am roughly 30 pages into a 90 page script. So far my writing groups are giving high praise. This script (along with two others) should be ready by September.
I’m getting ready for Pitch Fest. I’m also preparing to find an agent.
