Bike to work

I am a network consultant so I work all over. My jobs have been a 45 minute or more drive away for a while now. I dont think I can ride a bike 45+ miles and still work lol. Hopefully I have some closer work soon and can accomplish this goal!

I have not rode to work yet but am riding daily. I’m doing 10 miles a day regularly now. I also run every other day so I have to be careful how much I do on those days. Still not 18 miles one way but it will be done soon.

I want to do this more for exercise and fun than anything. I live about 20 miles from where I sometimes work. Since I am a contractor, it would be a once a week ride over there. Thank God though, I got a bike today! I went to work at a place and was talking about wanting to get a bike with one of the people. They had won a Giant about 3 years ago and never rode it. I offered to buy it but they gave it to me. Awesome bike, especially when free!!! It was a mens but and she had never rode it. Just left it in the garage. Came with all of the papers, build and receipt papers and stuff. Once again, thank God for the ride. I didn’t have the cash for a decent bike. Since I have been running 4-5 miles a 4 or more times a week, I will start riding on my off days and try the ride to work in a month.
