Our truck died Sunday on the way to church. Had to get towed home. I started diagnosing when I found the 5th cylinder flooding. Yep, injector system is shot and needs to be replaced. That costs more than the truck is worth now and we needed a vehicle right away.
Soooo, what do we do???
We borrow my wifes mothers truck, pray that God guides us to what we NEED even if it is not what we currently THINK we need because HE knows better than we do. Then we took off driving. We drove 67 miles, looked at one vehicle and it was not it but we felt that was the town we were supposed to go to. We figured we would go eat at KFC since it was such a long drive back. While there, we met an old couple that showed up because the lady forgot to set out meat for dinner. We said hello and asked if they knew of anyone with a truck for sale. They said no. As we left they asked if we would be interested in a van. Of course we were not thinking of a van and quickly replied no. The lady asked if we at least wanted to hear the price and I said sure. She said $1,000. This sparked my interest and as I thought about it, I noticed that a van would suit all of our needs, maybe even better than the kind of extended cab truck we were looking for. We went out to look at it. Turned out to be a 96 Voyager with 135k miles. Not low miles, but runs great and is only a thousand dollars. We test drove it and felt Gods peace in it all. Needless to say, we paid for it and drove it home. It runs like a top and is a real blessing.
It is amazing how God steers us and others when we are willing to listen and gives us exactly what we need, even if it is not what we originally expect we need.

For 8 years I have wanted a DR field and brush mower. My wife saved up the money for it and we ordered it in early December. We waited two months after getting the money until we felt it was the right time. I was soooo excited. It was to ship out in 3-5 days.
One week later, no communication, no shipment has left. I called and they said another 3-5 days.
Another week later, same thing. I called again. They said they ran out of the engine and were upgrading it so it would leave out Jan. 2. I Told them I do not care if things are late as long as I am notified and they are courteous enough to communicate with me. They did not so I was angry. $2500 is a lot to have setting somewhere without even an email to show for it.
On the 2nd it still did not ship.
I was driving to a job Thursday morning (Jan. 3) getting more irritated as I drove (7am). I got to the site and had decided I was canceling my order out of anger when I got in because I was tired of all of the delays. 3 weeks was just too long for me to have to wait for them to get their stuff together. when I got in I got online to look up the order number and guess what, It shipped that morning lol.
Moral of the story, Be Patient stupid! lol. The order was delayed which got me the newer better engine design. I learned a lesson in patience. Thank God He had it shipped for me before I got to the job and canceled out of anger (never a good thing). If I would have ordered it a month or two earlier i would have had the old design. I am sure I could express it better but that is all for now lol.

That keeps my faith active… We were butchering a beef this past weekend and I got called out to do a job 1.5 hours away. On my way I stopped off at lowes and noticed a sign for a meat grinder. It was a small one and they were out of stock. They told me they had one in the town I was heading to though. After I finished my work, I decided to stop by real quick and see one. When I got there it was $20 cheaper than at the other store and I felt I should buy one. We had a large grinder already but I was impressed to buy it, so I did. I learned to wait, but when you are impressed to do something, it does not go against the word of God, and you have peace about it, do it. When I got home, they had been grinding the meat but were not when I came in the door. I asked why the sad faces? I was then told how just a few minutes prior, our grinder stripped out. The one I brought home may not have been the biggest or best but it was $79 and in good working condition. It ground all of the meat without jamming up one time. Thank God for looking out for us and taking care of the problem before it even happened!
