I feel like all my entries to this goal start with “I’m back at the gym” :)
Anyway, it’s true.. I went back to the gym on Sunday after a month long break. I didn’t realize it was that long!
I got a new program, which is actually manageable and it doesn’t feel like a chore.
Did 5% elevation on the treadmill and I jogged for about 5 min, and then I had to stop.
I welcome the flat stomach in my life!!

After my holiday to Finland on the first week of June, I found it really difficult “getting back on track” in regards of going to the gym. Well partly it was holiday blues.. Then the very rainy and cold June in Edinburgh (I never knew summer could be so cold!) made me feel fluish, tired etc. so I missed out on a lot of gym visits.
Instead I raided the chocolates and had a great time eating all sorts of nice things.
So today I went to the gym and actually enjoyed it. My goal is to do chins without assistance. (and yes the flat stomach!!)

I am so pleased.. Last Sunday I went to the gym to get a new program done and also check results – the last check was done at the end of January so I really was looking forward for something new.
My fat percentage has gone down, a lot more than I had expected. My weight had only gone down half a kilo, but since muscle weighs more than fat, that is only expected.
The new program is quite tough. Chins, dips, bench press with free weights. Some stuff I haven’t really done before.
I want to get stronger and hopefully my stomach will get flatter.

I went to my gym today after having completed my current training program. They measured my body fat and it had gone down from 26.1 to 25.6 so I guess I must have done something right, even though my weight doesn’t seem to go anywhere… But does it really matter when your trousers feel looser?? I don’t think so.
This program seems tougher and it has some additions – it’s good to have some variety so you won’t get bored.

So happy about this goal!
I have definitely toned my body. Over a month ago I dragged myself to the gym, got myself a program and have been going regularly.
Well after the first introductory sessions I got my mandatory cold, which happens when I go to the gym after a long period of time.
Got over it and I’m now doing ok.
Today I wore some trousers that have been a bit too tight to wear and they felt nice and looser on the thighs.
I’ve lost some inches, even though the scales might tell a different story.

I decided to make a headstart and start going to the gym again… before the new year crowd.
They made a fitness assessment for me, which included measuring height, weight, fat percentage and blood pressure.
None of the results were really surprising.. well I do wonder if that antique scale of theirs really does the most accurate job??!
Anyway.. I feel good that I went and it felt good being active again. I will attempt to go there regularly – hopefully the results will keep me going back for more….

My pedometer and I have found each other again :)
Since the battery died this summer I hadn’t used it for ages, but a while ago I just wanted to start doing the long walks again.
However, this really is a challenge for me during the week after the long work days. Well long is really a wrong word, considering I work “only” 8 hours a day. But then travelling back home takes time as well – and top that with dinner, household chores etc and the day’s pretty much over quickly.
During weekends, there is more time. Today I went on a long walk and I found a new walk path which was enjoyable.
I did 8000 steps which is nice.
It’s lovely coming back from the cold and enjoying a cup of chamomile and spiced apple tea :) Works wonders.

I bought a pedometer… gonna start doing some walking.. At least 10 000 steps a day, or gradually more, I hope.
That should tone me up!

I want to be fit for next year. Haven’t done any excercise for over a year, but I am ready to change my ways and start excercising again, I realize how much better I feel when I am more active!
