How difficult can this be?

It was around 4 years ago that I decided to enroll myself to the Writer’s Bureau course after being inspired by some of the success stories of people who had completed the course and had become writers or at least regularly contributing to magazines etc.
The start was ok. Got encouraging feedback. I was told I can write and then I started to do assignments.
I’m still kind of in the square 1.. well maybe not square 1 but I haven’t made the kind of progress I had hoped for.
Why do I make this so difficult?
It’s been 2 years since I completed an assignment.
It has apparently proved to be too difficult for me to try to sell my first few ideas to some magazines..
I still want to finish. I just need a kick.
