teach at a university

I would like to teach Philosophy at Middlesex University.
I first started studying my subject at AS Level as an evening class for a laugh. I don’t have much in the way of formal education, having left school at 14, and being the proud holder of 1 GCSE (IGCSE English Language Grade A 1999). I’m by no means stupid but I lacked discipline to learn on my own and so going back to college was really interesting and stimulating. I considered doing an Access course and going to university, but instead my AS tutor offered to give me a reference to apply directly to university. I got in. Middlesex is a very up and coming university, and also a centre for modern philosophical research, so I’m very glad to be studying my degree there anyway. Since I’ve been there I’ve realised I want to take this beyond degree level, and also discovered that my public speaking ability might allow me to be a teacher. This is the first time I’ve had a real, grown-up ambition that I can actually see the road to. It’s all quite exciting, in a rather nerdy way ;)
