Not Enough Gas 2 years ago

Sticking to my budget hasn’t been too hard so far. I set aside an embarrassingly small amount for gas. Who knew I fill up my tank at least once a week? Even when I combine trips! It was ok though. I just moved money from my food and miscellaneous funds to cover it.

That left me only $35 dollars to buy groceries at the local natural grocery store. After a huge discount of $.15 for bringing my own bags, my total was $34.94. Talk about cutting it close!

I’ve done a great job following my budget so far this month. No loosey goosey spending! My sister told my mom I am getting out of debt and now my mom is refusing to cash the check I sent her to pay for my insurance and phone this month. She wants me to put the money towards my bills instead.

Part of me wants to keep the money and throw it at my car payment, and part of me wants to insist that she take the money. They have already been more than generous with helping me transition from Seattle back to Indiana.
