Minimal progress in January

I did start organizing the clutter of electronic gizmos and DVDs and all the cords that are behind the TV and DVD player. It’s not technically painting, but it sorta counts…..

Rebooting and recapping

The next room I’ve painted is the basement rec area, and it was done last month. I’ve managed to paint about 3/4 of it from girly lavender (it was a play area) to a nice warm tan, and the change is very dramatic and encouraging. The last bit is behind all the electronic cords associated with a TV and game console, so have to move all that first then it will be done!

1 and 1/2 down!

Well, I actually painted the 1/2 bath about a month ago, and it looks great!

This last weekend the family room was done in “Tropical Nut”, which to me, looks like a dark rust, but to everyone else looks sort of reddish – but it looks great and really warms up the room! Once everything was back in it was SO NICE to walk in to a room that literally invites you in to stay awhile!

So now the rest of the house…...the paints have been selected for the three of the BR, and I think the MBR is the next one to be done!

It's time to get rid of these beige walls!

We’ve been here a year, and it’s time to get rid of the beige. Actually, the previous owners painted the kids’ bedrooms, upstairs hall, guest bath, and basement, so all I really have to focus on is the downstairs rooms. I have decided to start small, and do the half-bath first. My goal is to have it done by the end of June, which gives me two weeks to pick out the color, prep, and paint!
