A friend told me that a comet would be visible, last Sunday, just after the sunset. This was most tempting indeed! I resolved to get my boots on, get up to the top of a nearby hill, and see what I could see.
I timed it a bit wrong. The sunset was very early. I noticed it out the window, and pretty much ran up the hill (awful hard work!). It was amazing to get outside, and the sunset was glorius all around. Sadly, there were some small patches of cloud along the horizon, which blocked off the view of the comet. But I sat out and watched the sun fade, then walked back home in the clear, dark twilight.
I’d had such a crappy, stuffy day trying to get uni work done. This walk really cheered me up, and I’ve resolved to try and get out far, far more often!
Oh, missing the comet was a shame, but I did manage to snap the little beauty above!
