My housemate had a bad day today, bad news after bad news. I decided it was time to start things off. I made my first crane (absolutley dreadful!) and wrote:
“Nolite Tes Bastardes Carborundorum”
Which means “don’t let the bastards drag you down”. It’s a quote (latin?) from a book which I know she’s read, and I know she enjoyed. Handmaid’s Tale, by Margaret Atwood. I wasn’t sure if she’d get it, but I left it in her room for her to find.
Anyway, she got it :)
