stay clean and sober

I can’t believe that it has been a year already. Being clean and sober today is wonderful. I can’t believe that everything is greener on the other side. Things that I should have drank over, I managed to cross with the help of friends and family. I have learned that I don’t have drink today. I don’t have drug today. I have a choice today. Yes, sometimes it becomes overwhelming with all the opportunities I may have but at least I can choose. I am very grateful for everyone here. Thanks for the encouragement. Thank you for the support. Today I am not alone and neither are you.

Today started off great. My home group meeting celebrated our 15 year anniversary today. I put in some service work in and I feel great. When they say stepping out of yourself helps, it really does. I could have slept in late, and went on with my Saturday routine, but I didn’t. I got up the help rearrange the room, had breakfast with two ladies from the group, and the meeting and the speaker was just great. Something I really need. I have to say that it is great being sober today!!!

I have 45 days being clean and sober today. I am sticking to it. I am working on step 1 with my sponser. This is so hard it hurts. But I know I must take it one day at a time or else.
