They were yummy! I loved the balance of the salt with the sweet.

I just made this for lunch:
Very yummy. The vinaigrette was delightful. Next time I’m going to chop up the pear and apple.
I did it!

I used two jalapeno peppers, 1.5 tomatoes, half an onion, and some cilantro. Steve says it was hot enough!
Smelled delicious and wasn’t really that hard.
I made enough for lunch tomorrow, so we’ll see how it tastes the next day.
I made two ducks with my mother-in-law yesterday. We looked through several recipes, and finally decided on this one:

Definitely a success. The duck was tender and flavorful. The sauce was yummy. The ducks browned up nicely. I’ll make this again.
The cake was good. The filling was delicious. The frosting was a disaster. I don’t think I let the sugar caramelize enough. And it was too runny. And it ran all over the table when I poured it on the cake…
Worth making the cake and filling. I’m going to try to make a different frosting.
Definitely not worthy of their bad reputation. I cooked them like I cook most vegetables: roasted with olive oil, salt, and pepper. They were okay. Not the best things I’ve ever eaten but not disgusting.
It was okay:
I halved the recipe for the dumplings and messed up some of the amounts… So it wasn’t perfect, but it was still yummy, and my husband liked it. I may try this again.
I substituted squash for the pumpkin, but it still counts. :)
The filling in this really made the bread. The pecans, butter, sugar, and cinnamon are a yummy addition to the rest of the bread.

It does, in fact, taste like a bowlful of candy. I love this stuff!
