Learn another language

The Portuguese thing has been slow… Even with a fluent husband, I can’t seem to commit enough to put the necessary time in.

I am now registered for ESKF106, an introduction to Inupiaq Eskimo. The class begins at the end of January. I think a more structured and formal approach will help me be more serious. Additionally, I am taking the class with a few friends. They will be a great support group, and it will be fun to learn together.

that gives me ten new Portuguese words a day. Hopefully this will be easy for me to keep up with.

falamos = we talk

ovo = egg
quejo = cheese

Estou con fome por ovos con quejo = I am hungry for eggs with cheese!

Desejo ovos con quejo por cafe = I want eggs with cheese for breakfast

casa = house

lar = home

Steve no esta en a casa = Steve isn’t in the house

No estou en a casa = I am not in the house

Sinto muito = I’m sorry (literally, I feel much)

sintir = to feel

por favor = please

obrigada = thank you (feminine)

brigada = thanks

de nada = you’re welcome
