I just bought my ticket! I leave at the end of May, and I get to stay for 42 days! I am so excited! I am going to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

My 38 trip to Southeast Asia includes a five day stint in a beach area of Thailand. I’ve been trying to decide which island to go to. I finally picked one!!! Koh Nang Yuan!

The newest version of Lonely Planet’s Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and the Greater Mekong Delta arrived yesterday! I already own LP’s Thailand book. I’m perusing them diligently to plan my trip!
My Tenative Itinerary

I sent the first edition of my itinerary to my travel agent. It started as a two week trip, and now it’s going to be about thirty-five days…
Chiang Mai- no less than 5 days
Luang Prabang, Laos- 3 days
Vietnam- 10 days (including an overnight trip to Halong Bay)
Siem Reap/Angkor Wat- 2 days
Phnom Penh- 2 days
Bangkok- 2 days
Ayutthaya- 1-2 days
Beach Thailand- Koh Phi Phi? Koh Tao? Haven’t decided yet…
