Back to the Drawing Board 16 months ago

OK, I have not weighed myself until just now since, I don’t know when. I have been working on my own projects like the devil and have gotten very little sleep and downing Red Bull and coffee.

Things have settled down a bit and I am (as of now) getting back on track.



Still... 18 months ago

I am 243, but I find that amazing considering th Mother’s Day weekend BBQ I attended. I went a little crazy with the variety of grilled meats, but got back on track quickly. I hope to be under 240 by the end of next week.



Day 9 19 months ago

243 pounds.

I credit not eating in the evening for this one. Yea.



No Change (Day 8, I think.) 19 months ago

But that is fine. This is probably because I have had very little (like 3 hours) of sleep in the past couple of days. I have been fully engaged in getting my business up and running.

At least there is no weight gain.



Day 5 19 months ago

244 pounds. I have lost 4.8 pounds in five days. All because I have eliminated soda, drastically increased my water intake and seriously curbed the snacking.

I am also less stressed, which helps tremendously.

Recording this every other day (and making it public) is really helping me achieve this goal.



Day 3 19 months ago

245 pounds. I am weighing myself every other day. While I did have some ginger ale yesterday, I stayed away from snacking on junk.

My father has diabetes—onset two years ago and he is no longer insulin dependent. His mother has diabetes and is insulin dependent. She still eats whit bread and drinks Coke.

This is one family legacy I will not embrace.



Day 1 19 months ago

As of this morning, I weigh 248 pounds, stand 5’ 8” tall and wear anywhere between a size 16 and 18.

Today, I am giving up coffee, juice and soda in favor of tea and water—I really like water (thank heaven!) They do nothing good for my body and only increase the amount of sugar in my veins and pounds on my hips.

Today, I will eat fruits, vegetables ad whole grains instead of processed meats, breads and, well, crap.

Today, I will snack on fruits, veggies and nuts, not the junk that we have stocked in the office.

Today is the first day of me truly stepping into myself.
