I am doing a lot better with this goal, so much so that it will probably be retired within the next few months.

I used to think that going to the nail salon was petty and frivolous, but have come to a renewed belief that this is part of my weekly me-time and is not only needed, but deserved.
I do not (or rather, have not) given myself enough credit for all that I really do. The 45 minutes that I spend in the nail salon around the corner from my apartment is so necessary. I don’t have to deal with work, family or even answer my cell phone.
It’s a brief respite from life and only do I enjoy it, I deserve it.
